Tank Size and Setup

• Tank Size: A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended for a small group of Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish. They are active swimmers and enjoy having plenty of space to swim, so a larger tank of 30 gallons or more is ideal, especially for larger groups.
• Aquascape: Provide a well-planted aquarium with plenty of swimming space. Plants such as Java fern, Anubias, and Amazon sword can be used. Include driftwood and rocks to create hiding spots and break up sightlines, which helps reduce stress. Open areas in the middle of the tank should be maintained for swimming.
• Substrate: A dark substrate can enhance the colors of the fish. Fine gravel or sand is suitable.
